To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this .The Frost Institute for Data Science and Computing (IDSC) seeks a Programmer to assist in the creation and modification of virtual experiences for the Future Realities Research Lab (FRL). This is a temporary position for twelve (12) months.**CORE JOB SUMMARY** The Programmer 1 analyzes, designs, writes, tests, and implements new programs and applications. Moreover, the incumbent maintains and revises existing systems and provides technical assistance to end-users and others within Information Technology. **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS*** Assist in the creation and modification of virtual experiences.* Create or integrate 3D models for items requested for the experiences.* Meet frequently with FRL contacts to gather feedback, outline tasks, and ultimately implement their vision for the experiences.* Maintain documentation with processes related to creating the experiences.**Department Specific Qualifications**Education:Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field**Experience:**One (1) year experience working in virtual reality development. Experience uploading custom content to the STEAM platform and with VR and VR interaction/movement metaphors.
