Personal Banker II – Overview The Personal Banker II provides an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker uses a consultative sales and service process to understand and address customer financial needs across the lifecycle, while adhering to risk and compliance policies. Responsibilities Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach (in person, over the phone, or other channels). Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice. Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered. Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customer’s needs are met and all problems are resolved. Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in appropriate solutions aligned with their needs. Provide customer support that reinforces the value of current and new technology. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected from every employee. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED and 1 year customer service experience, or college degree or equivalent military experience. Experience in a sales environment required; experience in the financial industry is a plus. Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with both new household acquisitions and deepening customer relationships. Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication. Capable of analyzing credit and financial information. Exhibits business acumen. Demonstrated ability in making sound decisions. Requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Working Conditions Normal office environment with extended computer screen use; periodic travel within the Bancorp footprint to attend meetings and/or training. Salary & Benefits Total Base Pay Range: $44,300.00 – $73,000.00 USD annually. In addition to base salary, the role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
