Work Model: onsite
Work Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Nature & Scope:
Positional Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Patient Services Representative to support daily operations within a busy ophthalmology practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional patient experience from check-in through check-out.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success

Greet and check in patients for scheduled appointments in a professional and courteous manner
Verify insurance coverage , collect co-pays, and process payments accurately
Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient visits based on provider availability
Process referrals and ensure all required documentation is completed
Check out patients and provide visit summaries or next steps as needed
Enter and maintain accurate patient data in the system
Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate schedules and patient flow
Assist healthcare providers with administrative support as needed
Manage appointment scheduling by balancing daily capacity, staffing needs, and patient demand
Maintain organized records and ensure compliance with healthcare procedures

Skills & Experience
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

High School Diploma or GED required
0–2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, or customer service setting preferred
Certifications (Preferred):
Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Strong customer service and patient interaction skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
High attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
Basic knowledge of insurance verification and medical office procedures
Proficiency in computer systems and scheduling software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Additional Requirements
Flu vaccination required
Health screening required
Ability to work onsite full-time during initial assignment
Reliable transportation (free onsite parking available)
