Utility Project Manager

Role summary / purpose

Project Manager II position to manage multiple projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple Green I or Green II projects
• Interact with individuals across various organizational levels, from individual contributors to senior department leadership

Requirements - education & experience

• 5-9 years of project management experience
• Graduation from a four-year college or university
• Proficient in project management principles

Required skills

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel experience, including ability to create pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
• Critical thinking to interpret complex Excel documents
• Project Management, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving expertise
• Written and oral communication skills
• Risk Management and Project Leadership
• Strong collaboration and oversight capabilities

Nice-to-have / preferred skills

• Master's degree in Business (MBA), Project Management, or equivalent
• Utility Technical Certifications/Training; PMP or CAPM Certification; CMII/Construction Certifications; Professional Engineer License
• Working knowledge to proficiency in project-related Scheduling and Cost Controls
• Experience in utility industry, specifically power (distribution, transmission, etc.)
• Agile PM experience in the utility industry
• Knowledge in construction management
• Advanced data management in tools such as Microsoft Excel and Access
• Utility Business Unit Experience in Regulated or Commercial energy services
• IT PM experience with utilities background
