About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines. Your attention to detail and culinary skills will ensure that our residents and patients receive high-quality meals that meet their dietary needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents and patients, adhering to recipes and dietary guidelines

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas

• Follow proper food safety guidelines and protocols to prevent contamination and foodborne illness

• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and prepare special occasion meals and events

• Monitor and control food costs, inventory, and waste

• Maintain accurate records of food preparation, inventory, and quality control

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or experience preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Familiarity with food safety guidelines and protocols

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
