Their knowledgeable staff and commitment to customer service make them a leader in the field.Responsibilities:Sizes and selects technical products and services, providing engineering information to the client base.Prepares cost estimates and quotations by reviewing customer specifications and other related documents.Prepares and submits required customer documentation and obtains required documentation from suppliers.Responds to phone and email correspondence from customers, manufacturers, and the outside sales team.Gains customer acceptance by explaining product application, including product features and benefits, assisting with special orders and specialty applications.Identifies current and future customer equipment requirements.Obtains Customer Portal(s) proficiency.Coordinates internal resources (purchasing, sales, shipping & receiving) as project manager.Establishes personal rapport with customers, principals, and outside sales staff.Submits purchase orders with equipment manufacturers, providing technical & commercial information.Expedites orders and maintains contact with customers and suppliers.Follows up on orders to assure critical deliveries.Resolves any order problems related to delivery or paperwork issues directly with customers and suppliers.Completes a technical analysis of field failures and returns from customers.Handles all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner.Works in concert with the outside sales team; funnels leads/opportunities to the sales team.Resolves product issues or determines product needs over the phone or via email.Desired Education and Experience:Minimum: Associates or Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and/or prior experience in the industry.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Solid computer skills including proficiency with CAD, spreadsheet, and database applications.Ability to think and solve problems with creative understanding. Must have a good eye for detail and be able to suggest process/specification modifications as required.Ability to organize and prioritize jobs.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Specification and mechanical drawing interpretation.Strong organizational abilities and project management skills.The ability to work cooperatively with peers to achieve organizational goals.High degree of independence, self-motivation, and self-direction, especially with regard to identifying and managing high priority projects, in a fast-paced environment.Pumps and Controls operates as a vital subsidiary within Flow Control Group (FCG), a leading solutions provider focused on technically oriented products and services for flow control, fluid handling, and process, industrial automation, and life sciences with locations throughout North America.
