Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics (OB) Contract

Schedule: Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Pay Rate: $80 – $81/hr

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,880 – $2,916/week

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive nursing care for obstetric patients throughout labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn care. Work closely with physicians, CRNAs, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe maternal and infant outcomes.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Minimum 2 years recent OB/L&D experience
• Acute Care Hospital experience required
• Experience with labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• EPIC experience preferred (EPIC Backfill Assignment)
• Must be willing to float to Bakersfield as needed

Required Credentials

• RN License (CA) – Required
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• ACLS (AHA) – Required
• NRP – Required
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification – Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – Required

• 9-Bed Obstetrics Unit
• EMR: Cerner / Surginet
• Hospital Scrubs Provided
• 24/7 CRNA Coverage
• No NICU on Campus
• Cesarean Section (C-Section) Experience Required
• Orientation and Facility Call-Offs are Billable

Schedule Notes

• Day Shift
• 36 Hours Per Week
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
• Call not required, but willingness to take call is appreciated
