Staff AccountantAgency Name: RehmannAgency Contact: Val MartinezPosition Type: Full TimeJob Type: PermanentCounty: All Counties - Entire StateSalary Range: Based on experience per HourSend applications to: include your resume when applying.General Summary:As a Staff Accountant you will perform accounting functions and daily accounting tasks at the direction of the accounting manager, finance director, and/or Chief Financial Officer. Functions and tasks will include 1) analysis of account balances, 2) preparing correcting journal entries as needed to correct account balances, 3) preparation of routine monthly, quarterly and annual closing entries, 4) preparing monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets accounts, and/or income statement accounts, 5) assist the accounting manager, finance director, and/or CFO in preparation for annual audits, and 6) other duties as assigned by the accounting manager, finance director, or CFO.Requirements:A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or an associates degree and two years' experience as a staff accountant. Knowledge and experience with accounting software, the ability to multitask, and an understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.Able to successfully work in a remote work environment including promoting a sense of teamwork and collaboration with a team that also works remotely.Preferred Qualifications:CPA or CGFM Certification Experience with CMH/PIHP Not-for-Profit or Government accounting
