EMS Customer Service Representative

Overview EMS Customer Service Representative/Call Taker with day and night shifts available. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation. EMTs and Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. Superior provides the highest quality care in emergencies and scheduled medical transports. Responsibilities Answer, screen, and direct calls for entire company Distinguish the need for emergency transportation Pre-arrange transport for facilities while determining the level of care needed for the patients Arrange specialty and critical care transportation Provide information and assistance for customer service inquires as needed Communicate with multiple departments and EMS personal Provide supportive information to customers to assist them in arranging appropriate transport Develop effective solutions for customer service issues Direct calls to Flight Desk as appropriate All other duties as assigned Qualifications Pleasant, professional phone manner Detail oriented Typing skills of 30 wpm or better Ability to excel in high-stress environment Adapt to frequently changing policies Ability to learn policies and procedures for facilities and recognizing when to apply them Medical background a plus Must pass 2-3 weeks of training EMD certification will be provided by Superior within 1 year of employment Benefits Flexible Scheduling Competitive Compensation Immediate EMT/Paramedic Job Placement Multiple Station Locations with the Ability to Transfer Throughout Company Opportunity to Work Overtime Health/Dental/Life Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Opportunity for Career Growth Check out our career site benefits page to learn about our comprehensive benefits options that include medical, vision, dental, 401k, disability, FSA, HSA, vacation and paid time off here: Benefits Page.
