Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2120 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 12 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Adult ICU experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred.

Unit Details: Cares for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Performs patient assessments and institutes respiratory care plans; provides respiratory therapy procedures throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include emergency code response, airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning, aerosolized drug delivery, ventilator setup and management, BiPAP and CPAP management, oxygen delivery and therapeutic monitoring, chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis. Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management and monitoring, including INO and HeO2; pulmonary function testing; bronchoscopy assist; hemodynamic monitoring; waveform analysis; nocturnal SpO2 evaluation (desaturation studies); polysomnography; and transport duties. May function as shift leader or team leader.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float between Lake Charles and St. Patrick facility. Shift at St. Patrick facility will be 6PM-6AM and shift at Lake Charles facility will be 7PM-7AM.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years
