We are currently seeking a Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a hospital-based rehabilitation team in Texas. This unique opportunity offers a diverse caseload split evenly between pediatric and geriatric patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility promotes a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and provides mentorship and support for new graduates and Clinical Fellows. Position Overview As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, and families to develop individualized treatment plans and help patients achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric and geriatric patients. Provide treatment for speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia disorders. Perform bedside swallowing evaluations and participate in instrumental swallowing assessments as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, home programs, and compensatory strategies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental programs. Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment. Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Texas Speech-Language License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Certificate of Clinical Competence ( CCC-SLP ) preferred. Clinical Fellows (CFY candidates) are encouraged to apply. Completion of all supervised clinical practicum requirements necessary for Texas licensure. Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills. Previous pediatric, hospital, acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, geriatric, or dysphagia experience preferred but not required.
