Location: Austin, TX 78758
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant / Inside Counter Sales Representative for a growing roofing and construction supply company in North Austin. This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, construction knowledge, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
The ideal candidate will assist walk-in customers, answer incoming sales inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, and help customers find the right products for their projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist walk-in customers in the showroom
- Answer incoming sales calls and customer inquiries
- Generate quotes, pricing, and sales orders
- Follow up with customers regarding estimates and orders
- Provide product information and assist with technical questions
- Maintain accurate order details and customer information
- Support the sales team with additional duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of sales or customer service experience preferred
- Construction or building materials experience preferred
- Roofing industry experience is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Comfortable learning product knowledge and technical information
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required
- Experience using software systems and order entry programs preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
