This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining concrete pump trucks and related equipment to ensure safety standards are met for the project job site. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical knowledge, experience with hydraulic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and repairs on concrete pump trucks, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pumping componentsDiagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately and in a timely mannerInspect equipment to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standardsRepair or replace worn or defective parts such as hoses, cylinders, valves, and pumpsConduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifeMaintain detailed service records and repair documentationWork closely with operators and management to prioritize repairs and reduce downtimeEnsure all work is completed in accordance with company policies and safety regulationsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably with concrete pump trucks or similar equipmentMaintenance and Preventive Maintenance skillsMaintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting abilitiesMechanical aptitude with required knowledge of:Diesel enginesElectrical systemsHydraulic systemsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsWelding and fabrication experience is a plusValid CDL preferredStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to work with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipmentMust have a strong commitment to jobsite safetyDiligent in demonstrating safe work practicesRequirements:High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certificationValid driver's licenseMust be able to work hours adjusted to meet the equipment yard and project needs – days, nights and weekendsRequires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperaturesPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
