Plasma Center Paramedic - EMT-P

Job Description You will be a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations, reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and providing medical guidance under the Center Physician. Your key responsibilities include determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results. You will follow SOPs for medical emergencies, support vaccination programs, and assist with pandemic coordination when authorized. How you will contribute Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interviews, physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions, follow SOPs for medical emergencies, and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and guidance on medical or technical issues. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and refer to EHS guidance for occupational health evaluations. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized, supporting investigations associated with pandemic threats. What you bring to Takeda High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate-level nursing program with state requirements. Current state license or certification (EMT-Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Compliance with state IV therapy requirements. Completion of FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of clinical or hospital experience. BioLife Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: USA – FL – Largo U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $24.32 – $33.44 The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location. The wage will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
