Successful job applicants will be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodation./polliAssists new residents in orientation to their assigned apartments and common areas of the Woodlands./liliProvides support and encouragement in a positive manner to AL residents to remain independent./liliRequired to provide assistance with ADLs when needed by residents as determined by service package; tasks may include but are not limited to assistance with dressing, bathing, bed making, laundry, toileting, transferring and light housekeeping./liliAssists with wheelchair transportation of residents to various areas of the Woodlands and on campus as needed./liliMay be required to assist the resident with activities that are provided in the Woodlands and on campus which may include but not limited to transporting resident, conducting the activity and the clean-up thereafter./liliProvides medication reminders to residents whose service package includes medication reminders./liliProvides and communicates resident information as requested to the AL Manager, Wellness Nurse or Lead Resident Assistant, emergency personnel and other staff members./liliMay be required to assist in the AL dining room with food set-up items, menu selection, and tray delivery./liliMaintains daily log of services provided for record keeping system. Ensuring all paper and/or electronic record keeping is maintained./liliBuild positive supporting relationships and demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner./liliFollows work assignments, and/or work schedules, completing and performing assigned tasks in a timely manner./liliAttends in-services, meetings and educational training in accordance with Cantata Adult Life Services policies and procedures./liliPerforms tasks/duties and utilize forms in accordance with Cantata Adult Life Services policies and procedures./li/olh3Requirements/h3pKnowledge/Skill/Experience/pulliHigh school graduate or equivalent./liliPrior care giving experience preferred./liliCurrent CPR certification./liliAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with a diverse group of people./liliAbility and willingness to work harmoniously within a team environment departmentally./liliAptitude for detail work as well as understand and meet job responsibility time frames./liliAbility to determine, understand and maintain cleanliness issues./liliMust be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language./liliMust be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility./li/ulh3Contact with Others/h3ulliExtensive contact with residents on a daily basis.
