What You'll Lead

As Director of Nursing, you'll guide the clinical and operational direction of resident care, ensuring safe outcomes, strong team performance, and consistent compliance.

Key responsibilities include overseeing resident assessments and individualized care planning; leading and developing nursing staff; driving quality assurance and maintaining a continuous survey-ready posture; partnering with families and interdisciplinary teams to address concerns and coordinate care; and managing nursing resources and department budget to support excellent service.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the state where the community is located
- 3-5 years of nursing leadership/administration experience
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality improvement

In the Director of Nursing role, your day often starts by rounding and checking in on resident status, then pivoting into quick touchpoints with nurses and department partners to keep priorities clear. You'll spend time connecting with families-answering questions, sharing updates, and building trust through calm, straightforward communication. Midday may include reviewing staffing needs, monitoring spend against budget, and making sure documentation and processes stay aligned so the community remains ready for survey expectations. You'll close out by addressing emerging clinical needs, supporting leaders on shift, and preparing for the Manager on Duty rotation as needed.
