About This Role This role combines exceptional care with the comfort of a smooth end‑of‑day transition. As an Assistant Teacher for the 2nd Shift, you are a vital part of the support system for our students, working alongside Lead Teachers to create a safe, stimulating environment where children can grow, explore, and wind down. You will contribute to their overall development and well‑being, ensuring a warm and secure environment through the afternoon and evening hours. What You’ll Do Collaborative Care: Work closely with the Lead Teacher to provide attentive and loving care, ensuring every child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs are met. Curriculum & Activity Support: Assist with implementing age‑appropriate, hands‑on activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, language acquisition, and social interaction. Sanctuary Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and beautifully organized “home‑away‑from‑home” that adheres to strict health, safety, and progress‑report requirements. Continuous Learning: Participate actively in professional development, training sessions, and team meetings to enhance your skills in early childhood education. Requirements Professional Competencies: Proactive self‑starter who demonstrates a continuous growth mindset, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to process improvement. Educational Background: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; college coursework or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare or early childhood setting is preferred; knowledge of interactive, hands‑on, or technology‑focused educational frameworks is a strong plus. Team Spirit: Collaborative mindset and ability to take direction from the Lead Teacher while bringing your own passion to the classroom. Heart & Soul: Deep patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and evening care of our students. Physical Stamina: Ability to engage in the standing, bending, and lifting required to keep students safe, engaged, and supported. Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and the ability to pass all required background clearances. Schedule Shift: Consistent coverage for our 2nd shift. Options include: Full‑Time: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM (inclusive of 1 hour unpaid meal break) Full‑Time: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (inclusive of 1 hour unpaid meal break) Part‑Time: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM (no meal break) Availability: Full‑time or Part‑time options available; may include occasional academy events outside of regular hours.
