Generator TechnicianSolution One is looking for a Generator Technician for our client's West Texas and New Mexico sectors, based in Marfa, Texas. The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best-in-class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction.Position Summary: The Generator Technician, is responsible for maintaining and operating a variety of generators, ensuring that they function efficiently and reliably in support of a facilities maintenance and repair program enabling United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations in West Texas and New Mexico. This role includes troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using technical prints, diagrams, and specifications. The technician will work closely with other contracted maintenance personnel to ensure compliance with operational standards.Key Responsibilities:Perform troubleshooting and repair of generator engines, fuel systems, and controls.Operate and maintain megawatt-rated high-amperage and high-voltage generatorsAssist in the development, implementation, and measurement of the maintenance management system and Zero-Defect initiatives in support of CBP operations on this program.Work on-call, rotational shifts, and during nights, weekends, and holidays as required to ensure generator availability and reliability.Apply Solution One policies, procedures, and standards relevant to the respective program and functional organizations.Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools as necessary for identifying and troubleshooting faults.Qualifications Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Candidates must have completed a vocational or trade school program or equivalent apprenticeship.At least five (5) years of generator maintenance experience for contracts of similar size and scope.Demonstrated experience applying ISO, AS9100, or comparable quality standards.Strong interactive skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong ability to focus, prioritize, and multi-task successfully to drive tasks to closure in support of business commitments.Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a CBP Background Investigation.Must possess a current valid state driver's licenseDemonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using technical documents.Demonstrated experience with high-amperage and high-voltage generator operations.Preferred Qualifications:Defense and aerospace industry experience.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other contracted maintenance services.IBM® TRIRIGA® Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS)Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSRs).Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).Physical Requirements:Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call assignments, nights, weekends, and holidays.Ability to work at an accelerated pace under emergencies or operational demands.Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Requirements include walking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving items.Required to lift and carry weight over 50 pounds.Must be able to work in an austere environment.Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as necessary,Job Expectations & Performance Standards:Demonstrate ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.Demonstrate proactive and preventive maintenance performance rather than reactive operations; reduce the risk of last?minute issues, regulatory non?compliance, or customer dissatisfaction.Demonstrate responsiveness to CBP issues within established timelines.Maintain all generators in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.Maintain all maintenance metrics and standards in accordance with corporate and CBP standards.Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and issues resolved.Demonstrate a zero-compromise commitment to safety and risk management.Maintain compliance with safety standards, fire protection, environmental laws and compliance with security requirements.Exhibit integrity, reliability, and sound judgment in the performance of duties.Maintain all required certifications, licenses, and security clearance requirements.Represent Solution One Industries professionally while working alongside CBP personnel and government officials.Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer service.Coordinate effectively with CBP stakeholders, contracted workforce, and corporate staff.Provide clear and timely communication regarding quality requirements, operational issues, and any issue that degrades the operational mission readiness of the customer.Support a collaborative, mission-focused environment that promotes operational excellence.Participate in training and professional development activities.Recommend process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, accountability, and mission performance.Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100D Quality Standards as directed and/or identified in the Solution One Quality Management System/Plan.Job Type: Full-time, Exempt Work Location : Marfa, Texas Travel: Some travel required Benefits:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k)Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee Referral ProgramEmployee Award ProgramSolution One Industries is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
