OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Occupational Therapist (Behavioral Health)Horizon Health Corporation is seeking an occupational therapist to work on the inpatient psychiatric units in Grand Forks, ND. The occupational therapist services to patients in an efficient and professional manner. Therapy will be completed in accordance with the patient's developmental, psychological, and physical level of function. Therapists will exemplify ethical conduct as described in the facility mission statement and the North Dakota Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners Code of Ethics.Comply with all administrative, clinical, and human resources policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment. Must actively support the mission, philosophy, and goals for the hospital. Must be able to communicate with sensitivity to growth, development, and cultural issues. Provide individual and group therapy to patients and family education when indicated. Provide OT evaluations of patients. Document all clinical services provided. Provide consultation on OT related problems, specific treatment techniques, and other programming issues. Promote an understanding of OT principles and team involvement in patient care. Participate in departmental meetings. Maintains professional demeanor in dress, attitude, support of unit milieu, and hospital mission and philosophy. Participates in performance improvement. Compliant with all mandatory training.
