Groundskeeper

The Closed Facilities team in the Facility Maintenance and Regulatory Compliance Branch (FMRC) performs duties that include responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the warm shutdown facility at California Rehabilitation Center (CRC).

Under the supervision of the Correctional Plant Manager (CPM), the Groundskeeper will be responsible for landscaping and grounds maintenance at the facility, maintaining lawns, trees and shrubs, performing weed abatement, repairing irrigation systems, road repair, keeping tools and equipment in good condition, operating various types of equipment, monitoring perimeter security and maintaining the security of their working areas as well as work materials/equipment. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and maintaining the safety and security of staff and facilities, and follow all CDCR policies, procedures and regulations as they pertain to a correctional facility. The Groundskeeper is subject to emergency callbacks.

The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process.
