Staff Accountant

Lone Star Bakery, Inc . is looking for a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day operations of the company, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank and account reconciliations, and support the monthly financial closing process. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare month-end journal entries, reconcile cash, and general ledger accounts. Assist with month-end closing process, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and depreciation schedules.. Assist inventory control processes by reviewing or posting inventory count adjustments. Maintain fixed assets schedules and inventory. Review and calculate commission payout based on contract. Support sales and use tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings as needed Assist with the annual audit and other external reporting requests Work solutions from beginning to end. Participate in special projects as needed – such as research, decision support, and ad hoc reporting requests. Build strong relationships within the company and maintain an open flow of communication. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications Relevant bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting or another related field). 1+ years of experience in accounting. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts. A desire to be a significant contributor to a fast-paced growth strategy. ERP and Sharepoint/Teams experience Proficient in MS Office Suite, Advanced Excel Skills a plus Possess analytical and strategic thinking skills.
