We are seeking a hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 Application Consultant with broad functional expertise across P21 modules. This position is focused on application configuration, process design, integrations, testing, training, and client adoption—not project administration.

\n

This is a remote position requiring approximately 30–40% travel for discovery sessions, process workshops, configuration, training, testing, go-live support, and system optimization.

What You’ll Do\n

\n
• Lead functional discovery sessions and translate business requirements into effective P21 workflows and configurations.
\n
• Configure, test, implement, and optimize multiple P21 modules and functional areas.
\n
• Guide clients through order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, warehouse, financial, and operational workflows.
\n
• Identify process gaps and recommend practical solutions using standard P21 functionality, configuration, automation, or integrations.
\n
• Troubleshoot application, configuration, data, and workflow issues and drive them through resolution.
\n
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing, go-live preparation, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.
\n
• Create functional documentation, training guides, test scripts, and standard operating procedures.
\n
• Deliver hands-on training to warehouse, sales, purchasing, accounting, operations, management, and system-administration teams.
\n
• Collaborate with project managers, technical consultants, developers, data specialists, and third-party solution providers.
\n
• Maintain clear client communication and follow through on assigned deliverables, issues, and commitments.
\n

P21 Functional Areas\n

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across several of the following areas:

• Order Management: Quotes, sales orders, allocations, backorders, releases, pick tickets, invoicing, returns, RMAs, and RGAs.
\n
• Purchasing: Purchase orders, approvals, acknowledgments, receipts, vendor returns, direct shipments, and replenishment.
\n
• Inventory Management: Item setup, units of measure, locations, bins, lot and serial tracking, transfers, adjustments, cycle counting, and physical inventory.
\n
• Pricing: Customer and supplier pricing, contracts, price libraries, matrices, rebates, commissions, and margin controls.
\n
• Warehouse Operations: Receiving, putaway, bin replenishment, picking, packing, staging, shipping, and warehouse transfers.
\n
• Wireless Warehouse Management System (WWMS): RF workflows, handheld-device configuration, barcode processes, cycle counting, and warehouse execution.
\n
• Mobile Proof of Delivery (POD): Route setup, truck loading, delivery confirmation, signatures, driver workflows, and delivery-status updates.
\n
• Financial Management: General ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, bank reconciliation, credit management, and financial period processing.
\n
• Customer and Supplier Management: Customer, vendor, contact, ship-to, credit, purchasing, and sales configuration.
\n
• Production and Assembly: Production orders, bills of material, kits, assembly, disassembly, material requirements, and related inventory transactions.
\n
• CRM and Sales Management: Opportunities, tasks, contacts, activities, sales territories, and customer engagement workflows.
\n
• Shipping and Logistics: Carrier integrations, rate shopping, labels, tracking, freight, manifests, and shipping-document workflows.
\n
• EDI and eCommerce: Trading-partner transactions, acknowledgments, purchase orders, invoices, shipment notices, and electronic-order workflows.
\n
• Tax and Payment Solutions: Avalara or comparable tax integrations, credit-card processing, payment gateways, and related reconciliation.
\n
• System Configuration and Automation: Business rules, DynaChange, forms, workflows, dashboards, alerts, data imports, operational reports, and Automation Studio.
\n
• Data Migration and Validation: Master-data mapping, cleansing, imports, transaction conversion, reconciliation, and cutover validation.
\n
• Cloud and Web UI: P21 Web UI, Classic-to-Web UI transitions, cloud environments, user security, roles, and application administration.
\n

Experience We’re Looking For\n

\n
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 experience in application consulting, ERP implementation, business analysis, or advanced application support.
\n
• Strong functional knowledge across multiple P21 modules and business processes.
\n
• Experience configuring P21 based on real-world distribution or manufacturing workflows.
\n
• Understanding of the complete ERP implementation lifecycle, including discovery, configuration, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization.
\n
• Experience supporting or testing integrations between P21 and third-party applications.
\n
• Ability to analyze a business problem, determine its root cause, and implement a practical solution.
\n
• Experience creating training materials and delivering instructor-led and hands-on user training.
\n
• Strong client-facing communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
\n
• A proactive, assertive, and accountable approach to problem-solving.
\n
• Ability to manage priorities, communicate promptly, and work independently in a remote environment.
\n
• Ability to travel approximately 30–40% .
\n

Preferred Qualifications\n

\n
• Experience working hands on with Epicor Prophet 21.
\n
• Experience in wholesale distribution, electrical distribution, industrial supply, manufacturing, or related industries.
\n
• Knowledge of SQL, P21 database structures, reporting tools, APIs, or integration concepts.
\n
• Experience with P21 cloud migrations, Web UI adoption, business-process optimization, or implementation rescue projects.
\n
• Epicor Prophet 21 certifications or formal product training.
\n
