Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospice care, nursing homes, or similar settings, and possess a strong passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities within the community setting
- Administer medications following prescribed guidelines
- Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals' emotional and mental well-being
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Collaborate with the individual's team to ensure success and growth
Requirements
- Experience in direct support, senior care, childcare, or related fields
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in caregiving
- Ability to provide are in are assistance for those who identify as a fall risk
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures
- String communication and interpersonal skills
- Background in social work or related disciplines is a plus
- Current Driver’s License
- Your own vehicle to transport in
