Job Details Staff Accountant (3-Month Contract) Location: Greeley, CO (Onsite) Duration: 3-Month Contract with Potential for Temp-to-Hire About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established dealership in Greeley to identify a sharp, professional Staff Accountant for a three-month engagement. This individual will play a key role in cleaning up accounting processes, supporting the month-end close, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. While this position is initially structured as a three-month contract, there is potential for it to transition into a permanent opportunity based on business needs and performance. This is an onsite role offering a collaborative, welcoming culture and a manager who values work-life balance by providing flexibility with start and end times within reason. Responsibilities Perform QuickBooks Online cleanup and assist with improving the accuracy of accounting records. Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies. Support the month-end close process, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Assist with the preparation and review of monthly financial statements. Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Partner with leadership on various ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements. Maintain organized documentation and ensure adherence to accounting best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Commiserate experience in place of a degree is fine! 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a Staff Accountant or similar role. Any large ERP systems experience accepted! vlook ups, pivot tables, x look ups will be used regularly in this role. Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close procedures. Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
