We are seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a busy, privately held construction company. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing the accounting needs of multiple business entities while working closely with company owners, controllers, and operational leaders.

The right candidate will have at least 10 years of accounting experience , strong multi-entity accounting knowledge, and the ability to clearly explain financial information to both accounting and non-accounting professionals.

What You’ll Do

• Manage accounting activities for 10 or more LLCs
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements
• Oversee general ledger activity and account reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyze financial results and identify trends or discrepancies
• Explain financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to owners and leadership
• Work closely with controllers and company owners on daily accounting matters
• Assist with cash-flow reporting and financial planning
• Maintain accurate records across multiple entities
• Support audits, tax preparation, and other financial reporting needs
• Help improve accounting procedures and internal controls
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced office environment

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Experience managing accounting for 10 or more LLCs or business entities
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience in construction, real estate, property management, or another multi-entity environment preferred
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and confidently
• Comfortable working directly with owners, controllers, and senior leadership
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
