Packaging Specialist

Applications without the required SF50 and other supporting documents will be considered incomplete and will not be forwarded for consideration. 2026 Salary Range ($40,736-$97,087) Yearly Job Open Date: 07/15/2026 Job Close Date: 07/22/2026 Job Responsibilities Provide technical and engineering packaging support for the major weapon systems prime. Develop packaging data and design drawings for contracting officers in acquisition and sustainment. Participate in new or modified weapon systems preservation and packaging planning, programming, and forecasting for prime assets. Provide support for hazardous and non-hazardous material packaging. Support the Supply Discrepancy Report program by resolving packaging problems with prime assets. Requirements U.S. Citizenship. Obtain and maintain a Security clearance. The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft on temporary duty. Recruitment Knowledge Skills And Abilities Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for identifying, considering, and resolving issues concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component; ability to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices related to performance‑based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly and concisely. Ability to work with, lead, and manage groups to resolve difficult problems or situations related to organizational issues; deploy lean concepts in problem resolution. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies.
