Law Clerk II with Security Clearance

Job Summary Law Clerk II – Full‑time in the Legal Services Department of CGS. The position supports litigation for a large federal agency office, handling high‑profile opioid and other cases. Responsibilities Assist with all phases of litigation for opioid and high‑priority cases. Prepare trial materials and perform other litigation tasks as assigned. Review, analyze, and summarize documents, transcripts, and other materials. Use electronic databases and litigation support tools to index, tag, and summarize documents. Conduct database searches for relevant documents and information. Troubleshoot technical issues with review platforms and tools. Apply redactions to documents including audio files. Draft review memos and other litigation documents requested by attorneys. Communicate with case teams regarding ongoing litigation. Organize and manage litigation review materials. Use task ticketing software to track litigation case support. Qualifications J.D. degree or currently attending an ABA‑accredited law school with at least two years of study. Active member of the Bar in any U.S. jurisdiction. Experience with civil litigation, especially complex federal cases and jury trials (preferred). U.S. citizenship. Minimum two years of progressively responsible litigation support experience. Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources such as LEXIS and Westlaw. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging tools. Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
