Dymax Corporation: Buyer Planner I Job Summary The Buyer Planner I is responsible for the procurement of materials and services, and the planning and scheduling of production to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels. Job Responsibilities Execute purchase orders for raw materials, components, and MRO items in accordance with company policies and procedures. Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and pricing, and maintain strong supplier relationships. Analyze material requirements and production schedules to ensure timely availability of materials and components. Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and manufacturing capacity. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize material flow and resolve supply chain issues. Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in inventory cycle counts and physical inventories. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement and planning functions. Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, inventory status, and production performance. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. For most roles, we require a minimum of 4 days of in‑office presence per week to maintain our culture of excellence and ensure smooth operations, while also recognizing the importance of flexibility and work‑life balance. Remote or field‑based positions will have different workplace arrangements which will be indicated in the job posting. For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID‑19. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, planning, or a related supply chain role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
