Outside Sales Engineer Southeast U.S.

Our client, a global manufacturer of engineered chains, sprockets, and mechanical power transmission solutions, is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer to support continued growth across the Southeast U.S.

This individual will be responsible for business development and key account management, working directly with OEMs and end users across industries including steel, cement, bulk material handling, automotive manufacturing, food production, and other heavy industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with OEMs and end users
• Manage and expand existing customer relationships with a focus on long-term growth
• Conduct regular customer and prospect visits throughout the territory
• Work closely with Inside Sales and Product Management to develop technical solutions and quotations
• Gather and communicate technical project requirements between customers and internal teams
• Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle and lead commercial negotiations
• Participate in relevant industry exhibitions, conferences, and customer events

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• In lieu of an engineering degree, 5+ years of successful direct sales experience with mechanical power transmission products such as chains, sprockets, gearboxes, or related components
• Experience working within steel, cement, automotive manufacturing, bulk material handling, or similar heavy industrial markets is preferred
• Strong technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to sell engineered solutions
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50%, with occasional international travel
• German and/or Spanish language skills are beneficial but not required
