About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for AI Technology, Innovation, and Delivery to spearhead the establishment and growth of its enterprise data and AI organization. This pivotal role is focused on driving AI transformation and adoption at a large scale, with a direct impact on business and scientific outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the AI architecture vision, leading the engineering capability, and ensuring the translation of advanced AI technologies into practical, production-grade solutions. As the first hire in this function, the VP will also be instrumental in building the practice and laying the foundation for future leaders in AI architecture, engineering, and innovation. Applicants must have a BS/BA degree in a related field, with a minimum of 20 years of experience in leading applied AI/ML organizations. The role requires a deep understanding of the AI landscape, including generative AI, agentic systems, and modern AI/ML platforms, as well as hands-on experience with low-code/no-code AI deployment. A strong product mindset, the ability to operate as both a strategist and technical leader, and a proven track record in AI product management are essential. The ideal candidate will have a background in the life sciences, particularly in the context of AI's impact on drug discovery, clinical development, and commercial functions, and experience in partnering with distributed engineering organizations. Strong leadership, communication, and influence skills are also necessary, along with a demonstrated ability to shape AI strategy at the senior leadership level.
