Join a growing HVAC and mechanical services company serving residential and commercial customers throughout the region. As a Staff Accountant, you'll help ensure financial accuracy by supporting core accounting operations, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role
• Prior experience in the construction, engineering, or architecture industry required
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Account reconciliations
  • Month-end close processes
  • Journal entries
• Sage 100 experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Manage general ledger accounting activities (approximately 80% of the role)
• Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
• Prepare accruals and assist with financial reporting
• Oversee Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting and reporting
• Process and reconcile change orders
• Conduct inventory cycle count reconciliations
• Support commission reporting and payroll accuracy
• Assist with AP/AR functions (approximately 20% of the role)
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams on process improvements and system implementations

This is a Permanent position based out of San Marcos, CA.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
