Start Date: 09/28/2026
End Date: 03/29/2027
Shift: Day shift (08:00 - 16:00) Monday through Friday
Hours/Week: 40 hours
Employment Type: Contract
License/Certifications: Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with completion of CAP fellowship
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in psychiatric care, experience with children and adolescents preferred
Hourly Pay Rate: $273/hr

What You'll Do:
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care to adolescent patients, averaging 6-12 patients per day
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage medication regimens
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Participate in weekend rounding and manage on-call responsibilities as scheduled
- Handle admissions during night call shifts, including order placement
- Offer therapeutic interventions tailored to adolescent needs
- Support and guide junior staff and trainees as part of the clinical team
What You Need:
Required:- BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or BC in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship
- 2+ years of psychiatric practice experience
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and family systems
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Experience managing challenging behaviors in adolescents
- Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of legal frameworks and safeguarding protocols

You will be integral in delivering high-quality psychiatric care, including medication management and therapeutic support, within a well-respected facility in San Francisco.
