Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - WASHINGTON, DC

Overview Build Our Future Together The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings—academic centers, large group practices, IDNs, and community accounts—within an assigned geography. The MS delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue, achieve product goals, and demonstrate strong ownership, initiative, and compliance. Responsibilities Engage rare neurology experts and key customers within the assigned geography, delivering clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share and revenue, and consistently meet product goals. Partner with stakeholders such as Reimbursement and Access Specialists to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics, and trends, developing strategies that support brand and corporate objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, collaboration colleagues, and internal contacts—including clinics, physicians, nurses, patient advocacy groups, and cross‑functional teams. Conduct rare neurology–specific market profiling activities to understand regional and local health‑care delivery, influencers, and payer systems. Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives, including strategic account selling and management. Ensure all personnel in the account are educated on Regeneron products, and consistently emphasize total account outcomes. Identify business opportunities within assigned accounts, leading coordination by the Regeneron Rare Neurology account team, including support for contracting pull‑through. Conduct internal research and gather information from various stakeholders to gain deep knowledge of each assigned account’s business model, metrics, challenges, and strategic goals. Participate in congresses, regional meetings, and industry events to support sales success. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree mandatory; master’s degree or additional advanced education/certifications preferred. Minimum 5 years of successful experience in neurology sales and specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience preferred. Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations focused on neurology. Proven track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with high integrity and within compliance guidelines. Results‑oriented with a proven history of success in product launches. Strong account management experience with analytical, problem‑solving, and planning skills. Experience calling on large neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks. Strong understanding of the neurology therapeutic area and current marketplace.
