About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Dialysis Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: In-Patient Dialysis Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year of Inpatient Dialysis Experience Required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CD, or CN (preferred) Must-Have: - First-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care. - Travelers must have been separated for 1 year if previously a permanent staff member. - Dialysis patients experience is required; Hemodialysis experience with BBraun machines preferred. - Ability to work independently and travel between facilities. - Critical thinking skills are essential. Description: Ideal for nurses experienced in inpatient dialysis. Position requires working a typical schedule of 12-hour shifts. Travel may be necessary to multiple facilities on a routine basis. Nurse to patient ratios will be 1:3 in inpatient pods. Charge nurse support will be available daily. Patients may require hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatment. Certified technicians will be present to assist. Nurses will be required to pass an EKG competency exam. Expectations include accessing fistulas and dialysis catheters. The role includes responding to call requirements on a rotating basis. Will work on weekends and holidays as scheduled. Scrub color is pewter, and appropriate attire is required. Focus on flexibility and team collaboration is crucial.
