Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Wound Care – St. Rita's Medical CenterPRN OpportunityThe Inpatient Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient statusImplementing clinical nursing interventionsHaving a highly diverse medical skillsetDeveloping and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomesEnsuring a safe and therapeutic environmentEssential Functions:Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care teamCollect vital signs, administer IV medications, understand charting, and assess patient conditionAssesses, stages, photographs and measures wounds accurately and in accordance with policyEvaluates, updates and revises the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomesAdminister medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization's policies and proceduresOther duties as assignedEducation:Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in NursingCertifications:Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart AssociationWound Care Certification (WOCN Wound or WWC Wound Care Certification) - (required within 3 years of hire)Experience:Recent RN experience in acute care and wound care (required)Two (2) year of wound care experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred, not required)Training:EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required)As a Bon Secours Mercy Health associate, you're part of a Mission that matters.
