Assistant Project Manager

Summary

We are currently representing a well-established commercial contractor seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support project execution across a wide range of construction projects in Los Angeles and Orange County. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a desire to grow into a Project Manager role. You will work closely with the PM, Superintendent, and project teams from preconstruction through closeout while gaining hands-on experience across multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with contract administration, budgeting, and scheduling
• Coordinate submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders across all phases of construction
• Assist with bid analysis, subcontractor procurement, and purchase orders
• Help maintain and update project schedules in collaboration with field teams
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, status reports, and tracking logs
• Communicate with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors regarding project requirements
• Contribute to project documentation, closeout packages, and warranty tracking
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, project specifications, and quality expectations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in a construction project support role
• Familiarity with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Eagerness to grow into a leadership role within the project management team
