Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)

Description: CVICU Days Unit welcomes first time travelers. 2 years minimum experience required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS (required in hand). Scrub Color: Navy. Every other weekend. Could float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, Burn ICU if needed. Local Radius: 75 miles, no locals.

Skills: Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Sheath Removal, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips

Patient Diagnoses: CVICU consists of a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, with occasional adult medical ICU overflow.

Valid OK or Compact RN license (required at time of submission). Valid Allied license in hand if submitting to allied job (please ask AM if unsure). Local Radius: 75 miles. Local Rule: not accepted. Floating: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Modules are non-billable, all hours are factored in NBO RN average 4-6 hours Allied 2-3 hours Modules are completed onsite during orientation Modules are recorded via transcripts.
