Human Resources Specialist

Job Title: HR Specialist (Chinese and English) Position Type: 12-Month Contract Salary Rate: $28/hr to $30/hr (USD) Language: Chinese and English Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Specialist to support employee relations and oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, and offboarding. The ideal candidate will have experience managing HR operations across multiple countries and ensuring compliance with employment laws while delivering a positive employee experience. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, addressing workplace concerns, policy questions, and conflict resolution. Coordinate and manage end-to-end onboarding processes, including new hire orientation, training coordination, and cross-functional communication. Administer employee transfers and promotions by coordinating with managers, completing required documentation, and ensuring seamless transitions. Manage offboarding activities, including exit interviews, company asset recovery, and completion of all separation documentation. Ensure HR processes comply with employment laws and regulations across Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and prepare reports to support HR and business decision-making. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations and onboarding/offboarding. Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required, as this role collaborates with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams across North America. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
