Learn to evaluate mechanical systems through a data lens. Harvest, aggregate, normalize and analyze data while focusing on optimization, efficiency, maintainability, decarbonization and sustainability. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, curious, driven, technical, a problem solver and a life-long learner. Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 Hybrid Position Responsibilities may include: Perform data gathering, interpretation and visualization to analyze HVAC system operations and performance data using SQL BMS Controls experience: reviewing, writing, evaluating sequence of operations Develop fault detection and diagnostics expressions for various HVAC equipment types Develop fault cost/savings calculations for fault priority ranking Apply advanced visualization approaches to data to inform owners and operators of problems and opportunities using PowerBI, Tableau or Google Plex Mechanical engineering design to put context to the data Develop and understand: flow diagrams, plans, details, equipment schedules, and calculations. Develop basis of design documents including high level system diagrams and equipment selection Peer review for new construction and existing systems Code compliance Perform facility condition assessments, troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify energy conservation measure opportunities for system optimization, operation and efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training and/or experience 0-2 years of experience in HVAC Engineering, Commissioning Engineering and/or Data Analytics in the built environment BMS and controls experience a plus Excellent understanding of Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals Ability to interact effectively with others in a team environment Flexibility to manage multiple tasks and meet scheduled deadlines Professional attitude and commitment to high quality work Excellent oral and written communication skills Driven self-starter and strong design to succeed Proficient in Excel (pivot charts, data normalization, basic calculations, charts/graphs) Familiar and/or a proficiency in: PowerBI, SQL, DBA, Plex; preferred DB provides our employees with medical, dental, and vision insurance with premiums covered at 100% for employees, 50% for dependents PPO and HSA options available for medical coverage; employer contribution for employees who select HSA medical coverage with valid HSA account Our company 401(k)-retirement plan has up to a 4% employer match - all full time employees are eligible after 6 months We offer a flexible vacation policy.
