Key Responsibilities

• Independently provide holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all assigned patient care under the supervision of the charge nurse
• Deliver age-appropriate care across all patient populations in the department, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients
• Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, and teaching skills with a commitment to improving quality of patient care
• Manage supplies and equipment while promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel across departments
• Adhere to all Standards of Nursing Practice and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, advance directives, and ADA compliance

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate (NRP)
• STABLE certification
• Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, or Obstetrics nursing
• Strong written and oral communication skills with proficiency in clinical computer systems
