Enterprise Architect

Job Title: Enterprise Architect, Principal - Utility Asset Management Client: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid) Duration : 12+ Months Visa : USC/GC Rate : $90/hr. W2 Job Responsibilities Partner with senior business and IT leadership to develop technology roadmaps for Asset Management (Inspections, Risk Management, Analytics & Reporting, Digital Twins). Collaborate with the business to enable future goals by leveraging AI/ML/GenAI technology. Assess the current IT application environment for the asset and risk domain and develop future IT target architecture. Lead vendor assessments, support RFPs, and drive application rationalization efforts to ensure technological fit and financial viability. Support IT strategic planning and portfolio modernization processes. Coordinate roadmaps across enterprise groups to manage conflicts, redundancies, and interdependencies. Collaborate with domain enterprise architects to ensure strategies, standards, design patterns, and roadmaps are consistent and integrated. Support project delivery by providing an enterprise architecture view to solution designs. Stay current with developments in AI, edge computing, remote sensing, and other emerging technologies. Act as a self-starter who solves complex issues with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving, agile environment. Translate business needs into technology requirements and manage internal governance processes. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 10 years of enterprise architecture experience at a principal level. Demonstrated expertise extracting value from remote sensing data (LiDAR, drone flights, field inspections, video imagery). Experience conducting vendor assessments and supporting RFP processes. Strong experience developing enterprise strategies and translating business needs into technology requirements. Ability to work hybrid in the Oakland, CA area (local candidates or those willing to relocate preferred; strong relocation package available). Desired Qualifications Experience in the utility industry with focus areas such as Asset and Risk Management (Inspections, AI/ML for Asset Management, Risk Management, Analytics & Reporting). Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Architecture implementation experience with technologies including SAP, GIS, Enterprise Reporting and Analytics specific to Asset Management, and AI implementation in the Asset Risk Management domain. Familiarity with digital twins, Palantir, Snowflake, S3, GIS, and asset modeling tools. Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. High-energy, passionate, positive outlook with a strong sense of ownership. Familiarity with diverse application development technologies and platforms. Strong understanding of business and data architecture, business capability mapping, and business process reengineering. Solution architecture and project implementation experience. Relevant architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF). Experience with AI/ML/GenAI implementation (strongly preferred as the "new norm"). 3B Staffing LLC
