The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team oriented with a focus on team empowerment and shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning and a culture of automation.Roles and Responsibilities:Lead and direct cross-functional engineering teams during a program’s EMD phaseDevelop and execute to project budgets and schedules, including Earned Value Management System (EVMS), critical path management, Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), and workload forecastsLead staffing efforts for each team, ensuring appropriate skill mix and coveragePlan and coordinate bench time priorities across engineering program initiativesManage and maintain Jira boards to track progress and issues, documenting and resolving blockers impacting team performanceMaintain and communicate delivery schedulesSupport proposal development and new program acquisition effortsInterpret statements of work assigned by program leadershipWork with suppliers and be able to articulate project requirementsBrief internal and external customer leadership on progress of work assigned“This position may be contingent based on anticipated contract award and funding.”#SD&T726MS-250SURGEBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 12 years of related experience, Master’s degree with 10 years of related experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of related experienceU.S Citizenship is required.Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Active Secret is required to start. Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) is required, candidates must obtain SAP prior to starting. Must be able to maintain this level of clearance and special program access for continued employment.Must have 2 years of experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) managing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) projectsMust have 8 years experience with real-time embedded software.Must have 10 years experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience working on an EMD program as a systems or software engineerDemonstrated knowledge of radar mode developmentFluency with developing and executing project schedulesExperience with Atlassian tool suiteProficient in using advance MS Excel macros, functions, and pivotsPrimary Level Salary Range: $169,000.00 - $253,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
