Insurance Follow-Up SpecialistThe Insurance Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for collection activities from all third party, insurance payers and self-pay patients.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update patient records and billing information.Review and resolve denied or unpaid accounts.Process adjustments, refunds, and insurance claim refiles.Communicate with patients, payors, and physician offices regarding account issues.Set up payment arrangements and coordinate with collection agencies.Prioritize workload, support team members, and complete tasks accurately and on time.Protect confidentiality of patient and account information.Qualifications:High School diploma preferred.3-5 years office experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.Familiarity with office automation products and healthcare patient accounting systems preferred.Well versed in healthcare collection practices preferred.Familiarity with third-party agency regulations.Good communication and customer service skills.
