Growing togetherReporting to and partnering with the UHC Capital and IT Finance Director, the Capital Finance Manager will play a key role as the financial advisor and strategic partner driving financial administration, budgeting/planning/forecasting, analysis/modeling, involvement in capital planning, etc. as well as helping with senior leadership reporting and decision support. The role will be an advisor to finance leadership responsible for evaluating and assisting with financial plans. The role will also be responsible for overseeing finance staff.This position follows an office-based schedule with four in-office days per week at the 9700 Building in Minnetonka, MN.Primary Responsibilities:StrategyThis role will be responsible for helping to report consolidated financial plans associated with UHC's Capital and assess performance against those plansDevelop tools and processes to provide critical financial information to Senior UHC / UHG LeadershipEngage with internal affiliates and controllers around issues and changes in the Capital PlanProvide strategic recommendations to Leadership based on financial analysis and projectionsSME for capital accounting and policy to support analyst/controller inquiriesFinancial and Operational ManagementCreating and reporting Forecasting & Budgeting for UnitedHealthcare Capital Plan, ensuring SG&A accuracy of the Budget, forecasts, and present financial narratives and metricsCOTIQ UHC ReportingQuarterly forecast reportingMBR ReportingWork with UHC finance leadership to develop plans to achieve financial goalsPartner with consolidation team to ensure accurate rainbow reporting for Capital Team ManagementMentor and develop a direct team of 1-3, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamicYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance5+ years of seasoned and mature leaderProgressive finance experienceDemonstrated ability to turn analysis into actionDemonstrated ability to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts in a clear, concise and timely manner both in written and oral formProven effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with solid oral and written skills and a willingness to share informationProven collaborative and flexible style, with a solid service / servant leadership mentalityLive in the state of Minnesota and have the ability to work in the Minnetonka office an average of four (4) days per weekPreferred Qualifications:MBAHealthcare ExperiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
