Wiring Technician

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components into finished products using engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work orders.
• Build and wire switchboards, panelboards, and copper busbar assemblies according to design specifications.
• Interpret technical documents including BOMs, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and blueprints.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure assemblies meet dimensional and design requirements.
• Inspect materials and components for defects or damage before assembly.
• Use torque wrenches and other tools to secure components as per specified torque values.
• Install and verify proper alignment and spacing of copper busbar assemblies.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Perform visual inspections and troubleshoot assembly-related issues.
• Escalate missing parts, material shortages, production concerns, and quality defects.
• Communicate production status, challenges, and updates with supervisors and team members.
• Support continuous improvement projects and root cause analysis activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Complete tasks independently and collaboratively to meet production targets.
• Utilize computer systems and CAD tools to review assembly designs and instructions.
• Participate in training programs and apply new skills to improve performance.

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a Wiring Technician, Electrical Assembler, or Manufacturing Assembler.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Hands-on experience assembling switchboards, panelboards, or related electrical equipment.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and assembly equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in assembly work.
• Understanding of manufacturing drawings, order entry systems, and inventory documentation.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with CAD software.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, and electrical infrastructure products.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management.
• Experience performing quality inspections and identifying non-conforming materials.
• Understanding of standardized manufacturing procedures and GMP practices.
• Exposure to root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Eagerness to learn and grow into advanced technical or leadership roles.

Shift Details

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• Standard 50-hour work week.
• Additional 5-10 hours of overtime available weekly.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for hours worked beyond 40 per week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
