Millwright- Start ASAP- Weekly Pay

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Pay: $25-$35/hour

Hours: 7 days/week, 10 hour days

We are seeking skilled millwrights to join our team at a coal-fired utility plant in Baltimore, MD for a temporary 6 week project . This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical mechanical equipment that supports plant operations. Candidate must be okay working at heights and within confined spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, valves, and conveyors.
• Perform precision alignments using laser alignment and other measurement tools.
• Inspect, disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble mechanical equipment during scheduled outages and maintenance projects.
• Replace bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, belts, and other mechanical components.

Essential Skills:

• OSHA 10 certification and confined space training.
• Ability to traverse stairs and ladders.
• Comfortable with working at heights and in poorly lit or small spaces.
• Ability to understand work instructions in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Millwright, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in using respiratory protection.
• Familiarity with safety equipment and protective clothing.

Work Environment:

You will work in a demanding environment requiring hard hats, safety glasses with side shields, protective footwear, high-visibility clothing, and hearing protection. Respiratory protection is essential when engineering controls cannot adequately manage dust, fumes, or other airborne contaminants. Fall protection gear such as harnesses, lanyards, and lifelines are mandatory when exposed to fall hazards.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
