Regional Sales Manager

Job Overview Japanese food brand company NY branch is seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow sales across the Northeast region. This role is responsible for driving revenue through broker networks, distributor partnerships, and direct customer relationships across foodservice, retail, and industrial channels. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in mainstream food and beverage sales, with a proven ability to manage multi-layered distribution systems, including brokers, distributors, and key accounts. A hands‑on sales leader who knows how to grow a food brand by working through brokers and distributors—not just direct selling—and is comfortable operating in a large, competitive, mainstream market. Long Island, NY (On‑site) Territory: Northeast U.S. (NY, NJ, MA, CT, PA, etc.) Travel: 25–40% Key Responsibilities Manage and develop relationships with broker partners to drive sales growth and market penetration. Train and support broker teams on product positioning, promotions, and sales strategies. Monitor broker performance and ensure alignment with company objectives. Build strong partnerships with food distributors. Develop and expand relationships with restaurant chains and independent operators. Develop and expand relationships with retail grocery accounts. Develop and expand relationships with food manufacturers (industrial clients). Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory. Achieve and exceed regional sales targets and KPIs. Implement promotional programs in collaboration with brokers and marketing teams. Drive product listings, menu placements, and shelf expansion. Market & Territory Management Own and manage the Northeast territory as a strategic business unit. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 3–7 years of sales experience in Food & Beverage (CPG preferred); Foodservice, retail, or industrial channels. Experience with distributors and key accounts. Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong relationship‑building and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage a multi‑state territory. Willingness to travel frequently (25–40%). Preferred Experience Experience with mainstream, high‑volume consumer food brands. Existing relationships with distributors, brokers, or regional accounts. Familiarity with Asian or international food markets. Experience in multi‑channel sales environments. Territory ownership and accountability. Relationship‑driven sales approach. Strong execution and follow‑through. Market insight and commercial awareness.
