Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerKADANT BLACK CLAWSON LLC (KBC) is an established leader in equipment and systems for the international pulp and paper process industries. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Lebanon, OH, where we design and manufacture our products for customers across the globe. We currently seek to fill the position of Quality Engineer to support the ongoing development of company's quality systems and efforts to resolve customer complaints and warranty situations through effective corrective actions. Position is located in-person in Lebanon, OH; hours of work are M-F 8 AM to 5 PM or similar schedule.Responsibilities:Coordinates customer corrective action requests (CCARs) from start to finish.Interacts with KBC personnel in resolving nonconformance/warranty situations.Drives CCAR root cause analysis, product failure analysis, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence of product problems or process breakdowns.Communicates CCAR updates to KBC personnel and updates Epicor (ERP) documentation.Analyzes CCAR data and provides continuous improvement suggestions for internal and supplier processes.Assists with processing remote quality inspections submitted by KBC suppliers and resolves any issues that need to be addressed.Performs supplier site inspections as needed.Assists with supplier evaluations and quality audits as needed.Assists in training others in Root Cause Analysis and other quality tools.Supports the development and expansion of the Quality Management System to meet requirements.Qualifications:Excellent verbal and written communication.Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.Must communicate appropriately with suppliers under adverse conditions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.ERP experience preferred.Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain consistent progress.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.This position requires a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent with a broad knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.Experience working under a QMS/ISO 9001 business quality system is required and GD&T knowledge is required.ASQ and/or ISO 9001 certification is preferred.Travel Required Must be able to handle occasional travel (20 - 30%) to support suppliers, clients, and KBC interests.Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
