ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machineSorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before deliveringChanging dishwater in dish machine every hourWashing pots, pans, and trays by handRemoving trash and garbage and bringing it to the dumpsterSetting up and breaking-down dishwashing areaFilling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutionsSweeping/mopping floorsAssembling/disassembling dish machineSUPPORTIVE JOB FUNCTIONS:Sweeping up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpsterCleaning and rolling/unrolling matsPerforming inventory of cleaning solutions on hand and reporting any low items to supervisorPerforming general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directedWiping up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryNotifying Manager anytime dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperaturesPerforming other duties as assignedIncluding early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability.Ability to work in a hot, hectic environment + stand, walk, bend, use hands and appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periodsAbility to understand and follow written and or verbal instructionsAbility to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate informationAbility to read English language sufficient to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks to write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes, and luggage up to 50 lbs continuously throughout shift.Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions.Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to be able to load and unload luggage.Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping kneeling, and walking significant distances on property. #J-18808-Ljbffr Hotel Saint Vincent
