Quality Inspector (2nd shift)

Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for a QA Inspector Job Location: Attleboro, Ma. Summary: Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. What you will be doing: Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; when applicable, returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Evaluate problems and make recommendations. Participates in the Corrective Action process. Pay will be $23-$25 hourly with a 10% added differential for second shift operators What you will bring along: 5+ years' Quality Control experience in Inspection is preferred. Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems a plus. Use computerized data collection equipment and software to record inspection data and generate process capability and other SQC charts. Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, force gages. Knowledge of Keyence inspection machine a plus. Evaluate and complete special customer quality assurance requirements (i.e., first article inspection, SPC charts and data and other customer paperwork) Preferred skill/experience 2) Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T, and must understand the x, y, z coordinate system.
